Summer Time tips for boarding

We are expanding later this year, which is a very exciting process, and that means lots of extra planning and fun times for the future! We do enrichment-based boarding (and grooming), which means we cater to each dog's individual needs and do fun activities based on those needs and preferences. We are also Fear Free certified, so your dog's emotional and physical needs are met with gentle handling and a quiet, calm environment. We watch for signs of stress and address them before they escalate, and we send an update to you every day on how your pet is doing during their stay.

*Preparing for your dog's stay starts with booking early and having your pet up to date on all vaccines. Even if we have to change times, at least get the dates in ASAP. We specialize in small/medium breeds, so we get booked up fast!

*Book a trial run or grooming appointment to see where your pet will be during their stay and how they will handle the schedule.

*Plan what comfort items you'd like to bring from home and make a list of anything you can think of that will help while staying here. Items and schedules can be documented when booking online or booking directly.

*Let your vet know you're boarding your dog and I have permission to bring them in and get care for them. Some vets are very strict about not wanting anyone but the owner bringing a pet in and be sure to have a card on file with them for emergency care in case we can't.reach you when you're gone.

*Relax! If this is your first time away from your pet, just know I have decades of experience with dog behavior and can look out for medical issues. I have completed the Hero for Healthy Pets infectious disease management certification and am a member of IBPSA/PACCC (International Boarding and Pet Services Association/Professional Animal Care Certification Council), and continue to update many other certifications to stay as up-to-date as possible on new information.
